Frédéric Surre was born in Toulouse, France in May 1975. He received the Engineer Diploma in Electronics Engineering and the Masters in Microwave and Optical Telecommunication both from ENSEEIHT and both in 1998.
From October 1998 to July 1999, he worked as military scientist in the Physics Laboratory of ENSAE, Toulouse where he was responsible of Opto/Microwave measurement (based on an optronic network analyzer). He is currently working toward the Ph.D at ENSEEIHT.
He studied discontinuities by an integral method and he is actually interested in iterative process applied to planar circuits and diffraction in free space. His main researches are in a iterative method based on wave concept, in particular on coupling between pixels in order to justify a multiscale approach of planar circuits characterization.
He is also involved in the development of microwave moisture sensors to agricultural and farm-produce applications.
During the academic year 2000/2001, he gives tutorials on mathematics for engineers (Integration, Fourier Transform, Laplace Transform, ...)
F.Surre is an IEEE Student member and vice-chairman (for the year 2001) of the ENSEEIHT IEEE Student Branch (he was the 2000 chairman of the branch). He is also the author or co-author of 8 communications in international symposium.
